Today is THE DAY!!

WOW! Finally here! We are so excited to host this first-ever 5K to raise funds for the American Cancer Society in Macclenny. Remember, if you haven't already signed up, your last opportunity is this morning from 7:30-8:00 a.m.

Registration Updates

Print & mail registration is now closed. We will be at Sports Shak from 4-6p.m. on Friday for registration purposes and to distribute race packets. That is your last chance to sign up for $15. Online registration is open through 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, April 2nd and has an additional $1.95 processing fee. Just a reminder, you may still register on race day, but you must arrive early to do so. Race day cost is $20 and will be open from 7:30-8:00 a.m.

Change in race packet pickup dates

We will not host a table at Sports Shak this afternoon. T-shirts will be in tomorrow afternoon and we will have our race packet pickup and registration table at Sports Shak from 4-6p.m. on Thursday, March 31 and Friday, April 1st. If you live out of town, please arrive early on race day so you may pick up your packet, race bib and shirt. We will still allow for packet pickup and registrations from 7:30-8:00 a.m. on Saturday. Register soon to get discounted price

Procrastination will cost you $5 extra bucks if you wait until race day to register. Of course, it's for a good cause and we will appreciate it greatly, but you should consult with your wallet. Need an extra opportunity to register? Go to Sports Shak on highway 90 in Macclenny. We'll be there from 4-6p.m. on Wednesday through Friday. You can register, pick up your race bibs and possibly T-shirts (can't confirm those yet because I don't have them in hand!).

Race Registration

Print this form and mail to: Run to Recovery, Attn: Kristie Fletcher 4151 Raintree Drive Macclenny, FL 32063 Be sure to include your check payable to The American Cancer Society with the appropriate race registration fee. The Kids' Fun Run fee is $5 and the 5K, open to all ages, is $15.

Registration ready on March 2

Race registration will be available as a link to print & mail on March 2nd. Cost for the 5K is $15 and the Kids' Fun Run is $5.

The race route has been determined! Beginning on West Ohio Ave, just north of Memorial Park's walking track and ending on North 8th Street at the parking lot of the duck pond side of the park, this 3.1 mile course winds its way through residential neighborhoods in northern Macclenny. As you begin training, you may use this as your guide: Couch to 5K. Please prepare your bodies as we embark on this new tradition of health in our community!

Tentative Run/Walk arrangements

On Saturday, April 2nd the first ever "Run to Recovery" Run/Walk will be hosted in Macclenny, FL. The race will begin at Memorial Park on West Boulevard North at 8:00 am with a Kids' 1/2 mile Fun Run open to 6-12 year olds. The 5K will begin promptly at 8:15. The race course will begin and end at the same location, exact route TBD. Stay tuned for more information on this Relay for Life fundraiser!
